Extreme tyres are specialists in tarmac competition tyres which are produced using the retreading process.

Compounds:

• Type R5A - Soft for use on dry and damp surfaces - operating temperature 15 to 50 degrees. Treadwear indication 80. Note: Some sizes are now available in R5B which is an improved compound with the same operating specs as R5A.
• Type R7A - Medium for use on dry surfaces - operating temperature 30 to 80 degrees. Treadwear indication 140.
• Type R9A - Hard for use on dry surfaces - operating temperature 50 to 110 degrees. Treadwear indication 200.
• Type N - Trackday for use on dry surfaces - operating temperature 40 to 90 degrees. Treadwear indication 220.
• Type HL - Time Attack Hot Lap for use on dry surfaces - operating temperature 40 to 80 degrees. Treadwear indication 50.

Sizes & FAQ: What does NK / LK mean? 

• All tyres are Re-Treaded
• Many sizes available please choose size, compound & speed rating from the drop down list.
• NK means 'New Carcass'. The NK range is made from a new tyre casing
• LK means 'Light Carcass'. Pay attention to speed rating!

About Extreme VR-2

The Extreme VR-2 tyre is a modern competition road legal semi-slick tyre with asymmetric tread and shoulder design.

The outside structure of this tyre increases the grip and precision while cornering, whereas the inside structure provides maximum road contact on the straight line.

Together with reinforced sidewalls and advanced compounds the VR2 offers supreme grip and immediate steering response.

We use Extreme tyres on our Fensport GR Yaris for sprint racing from 2025 onwards.
